What is Astigmatism?
Astigmatism is a common irregularity in the cornea of the eye that distorts vision. Instead of seeing perfectly round, spherical shapes, the cornea is elongated or "flattened" like a football, and the images that should appear round look streched. About half of the people in the U.S. who need correction have astigmatism.

Definition and Signs of Glaucoma.

Glaucoma is an eye disorder that results when pressure inside the eye exceeds what the optic nerve can withstand. This pressure, if left untreated, can permanently damage the optic nerve causing progressively serious vision impairment. It is the leading cause of blindness in the
United States.

Regular eye exams are the best way to find out if you have glaucoma. Eye exams offer the best chance for early diagnosis, as there are no symptoms of glaucoma until the disease is well advanced and irriversible damage has occurred.

Lifetime Optometry uses the most gentle and modern equipment to measure the pressure within your eye, and there's no puff of air procedure involved.
